The module includes an introduction to Functional Skills (what they are, why we need them, who they are for); an introduction to the Specifications documents (how they are structured, what they contain, how to use them); an introduction to assessment procedures for functional skills; activities using the standards for all 3 functional skills; extension activities; explanation of the equality, access and inclusion arrangements for functional skills assessments.
